Geotech is expanding the product range of pearlescent pigments with a new product line called Geopearl C Intense. This new product line has been introduced at In-Cosmetics 2015. Geopearl C Intense is a range of natural mica based pearlescent pigments with FDA approved organic colourants such as D&C Red 27, FD&C Red 40 and FD&C Blue 1. The product range contains six new intense pearlescent colours: Caribbean Yellow, Ocean Blue, Tropical Red, Tangerine Red, Passion Pink and Twilight Violet. The particle size distribution of the pigments is 10 – 60 micron. The new coloured pearlescent pigments are an addition to the Geopearl portfolio which contains over 125 pearlescent pigments now. Geopearl C Intense products can be used in a variety of cosmetic applications, especially for products such as lipsticks, eye shadows and loose powders. They are free from any additives or preservatives. The Geopearl C Intense pigments have a superior bleeding resistance. Another advantage of the new range is that they are easy to incorporate in formulations. There is no need for grinding or milling. This year Geotech showed new colour and effect guidelines. The guidelines for 2016 are based on three concepts: Winter Wonderland, Romantic Neon and North Africa. For each concept the company developed a range of different shades which are guided with formulations and pictures. The new Geopearl C Intense pigments are used in the Romantic Neon concept to give formulators a good idea of the possibilities with the new range and colour and effect guidelines.
