MeadWestvaco Corporation (MWV) introduced its new airless pump and pouch dispensing system. The MiniMod features a slim, compact design that fits almost anywhere and therefore allows consumers to take their favourite brand everywhere. It comes with an easy-to-push button actuator for controlled dispensing and a 25ml or 40 ml flexible pouch, which can also be fully customised to a brand’s desired shape or volume. The MiniMod dispensing system is suitable for low-to-medium viscosity products like skin care creams, lotions and hair care products. For the development of the pouch technology, MWV partnered up with Ampac and Marietta Corporation/KIK Custom Products assisted with customers’ product filling needs. According to the company, many consumers use their favourite beauty products more frequently on-the-go than at home and store them in desk drawers, purses, backpacks and in the car. Thus, the new MiniMod aligns with today’s increasingly mobile lifestyle as it offers consumers the possibility to use their favourite products everywhere and every time they want. In addition, it offers an alternative to travel and sample size packages that are still dominant in the on-the-go packaging sector of the beauty and personal care industry, the packaging specialist points out. The easy-to-open compact offers lots of possibilities for individual graphic presentation.
