New acquisition

Unilever has signed an agreement to acquire the British skin care brand REN, in order to extend its Network in existing and new markets and make it global. REN has been created in 2000 and it work on new type of high performance skin care,also into natural trend. It today sold above all in specialty stores and pharmacies in 50 countries and has built a committed consumer base, that could be the key of a future success. Financial details of this agreement have to be disclosed, and it’s expected to be completed in May, following regulatory approval. According to Unilever, it’s possible to enlarge REN’s brand and its position in existing and new markets; the company will look to achieve this leveraging its global reach, operational best practices and the skin care R&D, marketing and consumer research.
