Over the next five years, Procter & Gamble plans to limit the water used in manufacturing and packaging, in particular beauty and its supply chain will participate at this project. Regarding to packaging, the company plans to up the use of recycled resin in plastic containers and sustains recycling programs. Beyond 2020 the company would reach the goal of 100% renewable energy and renewable or recycled packaging in order to eliminate waste from disposal in landfills, from production to distribution. The first step, from 2010, has been to change the packaging in an effort toward environmental sustainability, introducing bioplastics into some bottles.
