Hypnotic Cosmetics is a relatively young Italian factory, that constantly grew up in the last 10 years and can now serve producers of each kind of make-up items. We interviewed jointly Dumitru Bant, Manager of Hypnotic Cosmetics with more than ten years of entrepreneurial activity, and Marco AIolfi, who’s leading the production site located in Caravaggio (BG) since 2010, exploiting his fifteen year experience in make-up field.
Mr. Bant which is the history of Hypnotic Cosmetics?
Our factory was originally founded in 2004 in a small production site of about 800 square meters, located in Pianengo (CR). At the beginning we were operating in the sector of manual procedures for packaging in different market segments, while in 2005 the company strategically decided to specialize and focus in cosmetic filling only. In 2009, the company took his definitive name, Hypnotic Cosmetics, at the service of cosmetic producers, mainly focused on make-up products. At that time we were counting on few big Italian clients operating in Lombardia. In 2010 we moved to a brand new production site located in Caravaggio (BG). Here a covered space of 4000 square meters is at our disposal, and we can indeed satisfy every kind of request in cosmetic filling and packaging, but also pod pressing, nail filling and welding pipes.
Could you give us a more precise idea of this growth, speaking in terms of turnover?
From 2010 our turnover increased by almost 30%. Considering the general Italian economical situation, we surely are a positive and virtuous reality in a market sector in active growing.
Mr. Aiolfi, in other words, what do you exactly do and which is your mission?
As Mr. Bant said, the company operates in the field of cosmetic packaging and filling, included pod pressing, nail filling and welding pipes. Competitivity, high quality standards and continuous attention to the endless evolution of the manufacture in the cosmetic sector are the cornerstones which characterize our mission. We are specialized in packaging and filling for third parties, thanks to a manageable and dynamic shape allowing to process all orders quickly and very highly qualified. To pack your own product in the structure of Hypnotic Cosmetics means entrusting on the expertise of a specialized team able to assure professionalism and prompt deliveries. Thanks to an extended number of latest generation machines and in continuous improvement, we offer a service that covers the whole world of make-up.
Mr. Bant just said you used to have big customers but numerically few. How did the situation change?
In 2009-2010 we mainly depended on 4 big Italian clients indeed, whereas we can count now on about 18 national customers, with a real perspective, according with contacts that we already had, to enlarge our client list in the first months of 2014. We are aware that, compared with other realities, this number could seem low, but we are young, with a very good trend, and precise strategic plans to enter international market in the next future.
Mr. Bant and Mr. Aiolfi, could you give us more details about this strategy?
We participated as exhibitor with our stand at the last two editions of Cosmoprof in Bologna, and as visitor at Make up in Paris in July and in New York last September. These events allowed us to get contacts with some international clients and consolidate our position in the European market. Our intentions are to take part in other international similar events, such as Cosmoprof, included its Asian edition in Hong Kong, Make up in Paris and in New York, HBA again in New York and to enforce our presence in the international scene. The last events we participated as exhibitor and visitors, allowed us to get in touch with several potential customers that really «courted» us in order to bring us in U.S. and European market with new production units. The follow-up of this events has been really positive, important brand business agent visited our company and we established concrete commercial agreements for the future.
Mr. Bant, what are your other future plans?
We are already trying to increase our automation level, acquiring innovative machineries that hopefully will allow us to speed up our delivery times, get better performances, reduce costs keeping high quality standards and increase customer satisfactions. Beside these big investments in new instruments, we are now independent from private transportation services, as we dispose of our own vehicles for fast, reliable and cheap deliveries. Main goals obviously then remain working to increase turnover and expanding our market to international clients.
